About Celebrating Life MinistriesWayne & Rosanne Prevett

Celebrating Life Ministries was founded by Wayne and Rosanne Prevett, whose shared commitment to faith, community service, and serving people at life’s most significant moments has guided their lives and work for more than three decades. With roots in London and Hamilton, Ontario, and formal theological training from Heritage Theological Seminary, Liberty University, and Knox College (University of Toronto), they bring extensive theological backgrounds, a unified vision for Christian service, depth of experience, and a thoughtful, compassionate approach to every ceremony. Both are licensed ministers and experienced officiants who have helped thousands of individuals and families mark important milestones with respect, warmth, and professionalism.

Wayne and Rosanne are the founders of Celebrating Life Ministries and Kettle Creek Weddings, organizations known across Ontario for personal, well-crafted ceremonies. Together with a dedicated team of associates, they have led more than 10,000 Life Celebrations, including weddings, funerals, and other rites of passage. Celebrating Life Ministries operates as a not-for-profit, incorporated religious charity and is recognized as a government denomination in Ontario, Canada.

Our Story

Wayne and Rosanne met, fell in love, and were married in 1995. Their union quickly blossomed into shared ministry, and they soon launched Kettle Creek Ministries, a community-focused outreach in St. Thomas, Ontario. The ministry quickly grew into practical service for individuals and families, offering food support, clothing, children’s programs, and community meals for those facing social or economic challenges. As they walked alongside people in everyday life, they recognized a growing need for thoughtful, meaningful ceremonies to honour life transitions.

Responding to this need, they devoted themselves to providing weddings, funerals, and other celebrations that are personal, meaningful, and grounded in genuine care. By 2003, this work became their full-time focus, and they officiated 187 weddings in their first year alone, eventually expanding across Ontario through a network of trained officiants.

Our Mission and Approach

The foundation of Celebrating Life Ministries is rooted in the example of Jesus Christ—meeting people where they are, serving practical needs, and demonstrating love through action.  At every stage of life, we believe in celebrating what truly matters—faith, hope, love, and community.

Our mission is to see lives transformed through meaningful connection and compassionate ministry. We are dedicated to supporting personal and family success and are  committed to honouring the dignity, story, and values of every person and family served. We also seek to provide opportunities for individuals to serve God’s kingdom in creative and non-traditional ways.

Our officiants aim to create ceremonies that are:

  • Personally tailored to reflect each individual or couple
  • Warm, professional, and organized from first contact to final blessing

Celebrating Life Ministries also seeks to provide a supportive context for ministers and officiants who desire to serve in flexible, community-based ways, often outside traditional congregational settings. At every stage—whether in joy, grief, or transition—the focus remains on connection, compassion, and celebrating what truly matters in people’s lives.
